안녕하세요 (Hello). Early this year I learned how to read in Korean and I think it has been quite a success because I can sing to the Korean lyrics on screen when Music Bank airs. Of course, the lyrics would flash long before I finished singing along to all the words but it's OK, I've only taught myself to read it this year and have a long way to go. I can write it too but I have to refer to a google image of "Korean keyboard". Nevertheless, I'm proud of myself.

These few youtube videos here are some of the most beautiful videos I've seen and the melody is nice too and I would like to share it with you. Some of them has translations and some don't. So enjoy!


Station by Lee Seok Hoon.
I love the use of two tin cans connected by a string and kaleidoscope. Something that I did in my childhood, pretending that it was a phone and the kaleidoscope as telescope to make everything look beautiful. The setting and scenery here is beautiful and serene. I love how the beautiful white petals fall and decorate the path. The yellow Volkswagen is cute too. Lee Seok Hoon voice makes you want to grab it, hug it, cuddle with it and sleep with it. It wraps you like a warm blanket.


Finally in its place by Jeong Seul Gi.
Seul Gi's soulful voice sounds like as if she's on the verge of crying. I love the setting and atmosphere of the room, it's gloomy but lovely. I really really really want those antique watches so badly.

This song is really sweet and the video is too cute. I like the scene where they played tic tac toe across the room. :)

'No, even I know better than that. I'm looking for selfishness. Perfect selfishness. Like, say I tell you I want to eat strawberry shortbread. And you stop everything you're doing and run out and buy it for me. And you come back out of breath and get down on your knees and hold this strawberry shortbread out to me. And I say I don't want it anymore and throw it out of the window. That's what I'm looking for.'

'I'm not sure that has anything to do with love,' I say with some amazement.

'It does,' she said. 'You just don't know it. There are times in a girl's life when things like that are incredibly important.'

'Things like throwing strawberry shortbread out of the window?'

'Exactly. And when I do that I want the man to apologize to me. 'What a fool I've been, Midori! I should have known that you would lose your desire for strawberry shortbread. I have all the intelligence and sensitivity as a piece of donkey shit. To make it up to you, I'll go out and buy you something else. What would you like? Chocolate mousse? Cheesecake?'

'So then what?'

'So then I'd give him all the love he deserves for what he's done.'

'Sounds crazy to me.'

I love this book, I love Haruki Murakami.

I finally finished reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. I think my next book would be Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami.

Sometimes I want people to just stop asking. I understand if your intention is good but that's not always the case. They're just digging in to find out your weakness and more ways to criticize you.

It's not like I don't feel like shit enough.

My cousin Renie and I baked cupcakes at midnight for my sister's friend's birthday. The fondant was hell to work with. Despite the messiness and craziness that ensued during the course of the baking adventure, the cupcakes tasted awesome. Maybe a tad too sweet.

I should seriously start posting like I used to. I was looking back at my old entries and it was full of pictures and my favourite things. It was great and I missed that. I hope I can update more again once I get my life on track. But for now, enjoy this delicious treats.

This year you're going to see major changes from me.

The best way to handle everything right now is to read. I don't know if this happens to everyone who reads or it's just that I'm strange but every time I read I would imagine myself in the story. If it's a first person narrator, I would imagine myself as the character even though the protagonist may be a boy or if it's a third-person omniscient narrator, I would be able to see everything in a panoramic view, getting into the minds of all the characters in the story. I can even imagine the scene it is in, the environment, surroundings, people, sounds, smell etc.

I'm in my reading phase right now. Currently, I have two books fighting for my attention. The Lost Symbol and Norwegian Wood. Since I have started The Lost Symbol, I'm going to finish that first.
